On the strength of almost an entire century of experience, Mulder & Rijke was one of the oldest and most renowned designers and builders of lifeboats in Europe. The first wooden fishing boats, work boats and lifeboats slid from its wharf in IJmuiden, back in 1915. Through the years Mulder & Rijke specialised in the production of lifeboats, rescue boats, tenderboats and workboats. The company designed and built lifeboats for the merchant marine, offshore and the cruise and ferry industry. It's worldwide group of customers included international shipyards, shipping companies, and such government organisations as customs, the police, the navy and the Department of Public Works. |
